I loved the whole art style of the chronicles games - the idea of drawing inspiration from the time period and location was beautiful. My favourite character was Nikolaï because of his deep and emotional story. There is a comic book for both before the events of the chronicles game and after - and I love them both - beautiful stories. My favourite location was China. It just had so much atmosphere and I love that Chinese art style and the architecture. Thanks for this question!

i loved how they adapted it and kept the lore in, changed from Desmond's backstory-ish and kept a lot of similarities between the two was a smart move. i think my favorite parts where seeing the animus in action as the present and past parts felt properly intertwined not separate. only criticism is that it felt like i only finished act 1 maybe 2

It felt like a proper film - and that is what I love most... However, I think they stayed too true to the games. The majority of screen time for Aguilar and his 15th Century Spain story was dominated by action sequences. There is a lot of action in cinema, but I would have preferred more time spent on developing the characters and story. Still, the action sequences were really great. A big problem with Assassin's Creed being adapted into a film is that it is essentially two stories in one - the modern day and the past. This means less time to develop each side of the story and characters. I also liked the new 'cure for violence' idea. If you love detailed and emotional stories, and history – I recommend ‘Silence’, directed by Martin Scorsese. Two Portuguese Christian padres (Andrew Garfield, and Adam Driver) travel to Japan to find their teacher (Liam Neeson) who is rumoured to have turned his back on the faith after risking his life to establish its roots in the country. I think this is now my favourite movie.
